Now then, now then, now then. This week we have for the hearing purposes in your hairy ears to enter the words spoken loud by Lucy Creamer. Lucy is one of the best female climbers the UK has ever produced and dominated in on-sighting trad, headpointing, sport climbing on-sights, redpointing, competitions, and mixed ice climbing.

...In which I read one of my own stories. Also I read Alex MacIntyre's Brick Edge Cruiser. It's well good. And I blab on about a competition. Lucky you, huh?

This week - big time - we have John Redhead. Badass. John put up many of the hardest leads in the UK in the early-to-mid eighties, mostly hideously dangerous wall climbs and slabs. These included Gogarth's The Bells! The Bells! The Clown, Stroke of a Fiend, The Demons of Bosch and Flower of Evil. On Cloggy he added Tormented Ejaculation, Margins of the Mind, Aothentic Desire, Shaft of a Dead Man, Rite of Spring. These were all at the top level and most have had very few ascents over their thirty-odd year history.

Now then hones, we got a nother interview show for your ears to hears yes yes yes, this time with epic 1980s Aussie climbing snapper, Glenn Robbins. Glenn was one of the top snappers ofhis era and really caught the sense of 'the move' in the mags at the time.

This sweek we have one of my own stories, read by one of my own organs - my mouth. The Pitter Poter of Massive Feet is about my fleeting encounter with US climbing / BASE / highline angel, Dean Potter, and the mystical trip that followed. Hope ya like it.

Wot, not about climbers! I hear you cry. No, this week we take a delve into another way to waste your time; highlining. I caught up with a bunch of them over the Shaff weekend, and was intrigued to find out more about the sport. They were some of the UK's most committed highliners, gathered by Sheffield local, and current world-record holder, Sarah Rixham. 

The coolest cat in the cupboard, the ultimate helmet-boiler, master of RP hijinx and the loose-hold two-step, Paul Pritchard is this week's guest reader. What a mondo privilege to have this hone read us a story. It comes from his award-winning collection, Deep Play. I also refer to The Totem Pole in the intro. They are both worth getting your hands on. If I know of anywhere they can be easily shoplifted from I'll let you know - after I get one myself, of course.

This episode we present Sean Villanueva O'Driscoll, the 8c sea-farer. Much fun. And for people who enjoyed the Tommy Caldwell episode you'll be pleased to hear we get onto the topic of the length of the subject's penis once again.

In this episode my old friend Dermot Somers reads his wicked tale, Dark Mourne. This story, from his classic collection, Mountains and Other Ghosts, haunted and intrigued me as a youth and it's great to have it adding to the Jam Crack library. In this episode I read out one of my own stories, You've Been Popped. It concerns a day out on a wet gritstone crag, an awkward roof crack, a mysterious American climber and a huge cam. 

I’m releasing Tommy Caldwell – not the way a Kyrgyz rebel might release Tommy Caldwell, but in a podcast kinda way. This was recorded at this year’s Kendal Film Festival where I lured him into a small art room and locked the door.

As a start I have just read out one of my own stories called The Dimmest Glimmer, a story about the fears of youth, set in a tumbledown climbers’ hut at the edges of Fair Head, the big, dark crag in Northern Ireland.
